Frequently asked questions
Straight answers for buyers, sellers, and partners about how Bazaar is meant to be used. For legal text, read our terms, privacy policy, disclaimer, and contact page.
What is Bazaar and who is it for?
Bazaar is a hyper-local peer-to-peer marketplace for buying and selling pre-owned goods, focused on areas like Mira Road, Bhayander, Dahisar, Borivali, and Uttan in North Mumbai. It is designed for people who want to list items, discover nearby deals, and coordinate in-app before meeting in person.
Is payment or delivery handled in the app?
No. You agree how to pay and hand over the item in person (for example, UPI or cash). The product does not process checkout or hold funds. Always inspect the item and agree the price before you pay.
How do I stay safe when meeting a buyer or seller?
Use well-lit, public places; avoid late-night or isolated meetups; inspect the item before paying; and keep the conversation in-app until you are comfortable. If something feels wrong, you can walk away. Our blog has a more detailed checklists for local meetups.
What does Pro-Verify or certification mean?
Pro-Verify is an optional inspection story on the roadmap for certain categories. A badge, if shown, is informational—always use your own judgment and inspect the item at handover.
Why is my phone number not shown on a listing?
In-app chat reduces the spread of personal contact data on a public ad. You can still agree a time and place to meet in chat without publishing your number on the open listing page.
Listings, moderation, and takedowns — how do they work?
Published listings are intended to be visible in search. Items may be reviewed for policy compliance. Results depend on the connected backend. See our Terms and Privacy for how to report issues or request removal in production deployments.
Is this a demo or a live marketplace?
The public web experience is built to be production-style, with optional server-backed listings, chat, and sign-in. Before listing high-value items, confirm which features your operator has enabled in your environment.
